According to a Canadian blogger and<a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/1UpKKLu\" target=\"_blank\">author<\/a>, not one, but two, fuel tankers were inexplicably delayed last week, and shortages ensued alarmingly quickly, with numerous gas stations running completely out of fuel within a matter of days.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.justplainmarie.ca\/2015\/09\/when-gas-tanks-are-empty.html\" target=\"_blank\">Marie\u00a0Beausoleil wrote<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The delay was long enough that gas stations across Nova Scotia ran out of gas, even with a\u00a0<strong>week of rationing<\/strong>.\u00a0 The gas stations knew the tankers were going to be late and starting rationing in advance.<\/p>\n<p>By\u00a0<strong>Thursday<\/strong>,\u00a0<a class=\"skimwords-link\" title=\"Shopping Link Added by SkimWords\" href=\"http:\/\/skimlinks.pgpartner.com\/mrdr.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fskimlinks.pgpartner.com%2Fsearch.php%2Fform_keyword%3Dstorage%2Btanks\" target=\"_blank\" data-skimwords-id=\"1962548\" data-skimlinks-editor=\"0\" data-skimwords-word=\"storage%20tanks\" data-group-id=\"0\" data-skim-creative=\"302003\" data-skim-product=\"1962548\" data-skim-node-id=\"52:,storagetanksintheci_1\">storage tanks<\/a>\u00a0in the city of Dartmouth were empty.<\/p>\n<p>The tankers arrived on\u00a0<strong>Friday<\/strong>\u00a0and started the process of unloading.<\/p>\n<p>By\u00a0<strong>Saturday<\/strong>\u00a0the shortage had spread to the smaller communities, the less busy gas stations.<\/p>\n<p>By\u00a0<strong>Sunday<\/strong>\u00a0evening, motorists across the province were stranded and \u201cOut of gas\u201d signs were everywhere. It would take, people were warned, at least a week to get all service stations filled across the province (and if you\u2019re not familiar with it, Nova Scotia is a very small place!)
