Many\u00a0areas received less than 100 mm of rain between the start of April and early July, which is less than 50 per cent\u00a0of normal rainfall levels. The hardest-hit areas received\u00a0less than 50 millimetres\u00a0of precipitation, according to Alberta Agriculture.<\/p>\n<div class=\"figure col4width floatright\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i.cbc.ca\/1.3147533.1436568633!\/fileImage\/httpImage\/image.jpg_gen\/derivatives\/original_300\/man-buying-meat-at-a-grocery-store.jpg\" alt=\"Man buying meat at a grocery store\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"figure-caption\">If you thought buying beef this summer was already expensive, prices could rise further with dry conditions in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
