But was the move really representative of what\u2019s happening in precious metals markets around the world? Or, is there an effort by large financial institutions to keep prices suppressed? In an open letter to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission\u00a0First Mining Finance<a href=\"http:\/\/www.shtfplan.com\/headline-news\/massive-manipulation-real-producers-and-consumers-dont-appear-to-be-represented_06042015\" target=\"_blank\">CEO Keith Neumeyer argues<\/a>\u00a0that\u00a0real producers and consumers don\u2019t appear to be represented by the purported billion dollar moves on paper trading exchanges.<\/p>\n<p>With China\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailysheeple.com\/china-finally-reveals-its-gold-reserves_072015\" target=\"_blank\">recently revealing<\/a>\u00a0that they have added some 600 tons of gold to their stockpiles and the U.S. mint having\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.shtfplan.com\/headline-news\/imminent-u-s-mint-to-suspend-sale-of-silver-eagles-demand-for-physical-silver-is-exploding_07072015\" target=\"_blank\">suspended sales<\/a>\u00a0of Silver Eagles due to extremely high demand in early July, how is it possible that prices are crashing?<\/p>\n<p>As\u00a0noted in Mike\u00a0Gleason\u2019s\u00a0<em>Weekly Market Wrap<\/em>\u00a0at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.moneymetals.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Money Metals Exchange<\/a>, while it appears that gold is currently one of the world\u2019s most hated assets,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.moneymetals.com\/podcasts\/2015\/07\/24\/gold-now-most-hated-asset-while-retail-public-buys-at-record-pace-000742\" target=\"_blank\">the retail public continues to buy at a record pace<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>The paper market is telling one story. But the actual physical bullion market is telling quite another.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Mint has sold over 100,000 ounces of American Eagle gold coins so far in July. That\u2019s the highest monthly demand volume registered since April 2013. And that\u2019s just as of this week.
